"The Mystery of Satie,"
film screening, October 8
On October 6 members of our committee welcomed filmmaker and graphic novelist Bastien Loukia to Burlington.
We screened Loukia’s film The Mystery of Satie two days later. He has given us permission to provide this link to his film on YouTube. So if you missed it, you can watch it here:
Our screening event was a huge success. Every one of the 200 seats were taken. Copies of Bastien’s graphic novel about Honfleur’s 1000 years of history sold out.
After the screening, our Fran Stoddard led a Q&A with Loukia.
In advance of the screening, journalist Amy Lilly of SEVEN DAYS wrote a superb article about Bastien and Satie and our event. Read it here.
