We at Sister Cities were present with an exhibition booth.<\/p><p>By chance, the date corresponded the bicentennial of the visit of General Lafayette to Winooski. In 1824-25 the French hero of the American Revolution had visited each of the the twenty-four United States as part of a &#8220;farewell tour.&#8221;\u00a0 The tour is being reenacted in 2024-25.<\/p><p>We are delighted that on his Vermont visit, the general stopped by our booth!\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c96fd46 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"c96fd46\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5c47bda elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5c47bda\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Le 29 juin 2025, la ville de Winooski a accueilli la 20e Journ\u00e9e annuelle du patrimoine fran\u00e7ais du Vermont. Chez Sister Cities, nous \u00e9tions pr\u00e9sents avec un stand d&#8217;exposition.<\/p><p>Par chance, cette date correspondait au bicentenaire de la visite du g\u00e9n\u00e9ral La Fayette \u00e0 Winooski. En 1824-1825, le h\u00e9ros fran\u00e7ais de la R\u00e9volution am\u00e9ricaine avait visit\u00e9 chacun des vingt-quatre \u00c9tats des \u00c9tats-Unis dans le cadre d&#8217;une \u00ab\u00a0tourn\u00e9e d&#8217;adieu\u00a0\u00bb.
